Creole Pete Robertson was an old time baseball player from
the Negro Southern League from the 1920's and 30's. This is one of the
pictures I took while on assignment for Black Sports Magazine for the
December 1974 issue. In trying to do something different, I posed him
under one of the recessed ceiling lights and exposed for the highlights. I
felt it emphasized his resemblance to Louis Armstrong.
